Additional Income From Home

Aloha to all my Readers!

It is my dream and my reality to be able to generate income from home by using my  computer as a tool. When I first starting online marketing about 10 years ago I created this blog. If I created this blog today, I would not name it Alohalady's blog. Do you know why? If you are searching for information on how to work from home, nobody is going to put Alohalady Blog into the search box from Google, Bing, Yahoo or even Publishers Clearing house! You want to drive traffic (visitors) to your site you need to use keywords, and it is a huge niche! Niche being what you are marketing or promoting online! So if I key in work from home, or legitimate work from home opportunities, you will not find Alohalady blog. So what I do when I blog is I try to use keywords. Keywords are what the search engines are looking for and indexing when put those words you are using into the search engine block.

Earning from home is a great commute! You will make many new connections and friends on sites such as FaceBook, Google+, Twitter and lLinkedIn, just to name a few. I made many ventures when I first started out online and was a newbie. Newbie meaning somebody who is new to working online. Basically, if you can cut and paste, you can work from home. A decade ago we all used Safelists, Traffic Exchanges and e-mail marketing. All can still be used, and can be effective if you do it properly. My first venture became known as the "Club Built on Spam " as one of the ways we got to email people was by going to the online classifieds and "harvesting e-mails" and then e-mailing them without their permission, to promote and get them to join us. I had a huge downline, but it didn't matter because hardly any of them actually upgraded from a free account to a paid account. I made about $50-$75 per month. I found out later that is actually good, as many people never make a dime. I even received a 1099 from a later venture into MLM for $900 for the whole year! I e-mailed them when I cancelled my membership that $900 was nothing for the amount of time I had to spend working on my computer, before work, (I had a full time job then) after work, and all day Saturday and Sunday. I got a reply that I should be grateful to make anything at all online! The sad fact was that this program made promises that they couldn't deliver on.

So, if you don't want to spend every spare minute you have at your computer, you learn to work smarter, not harder! Use the tools available to automate your time online. How much do you have to spend to advertise? Do you have an Autoresponder? How do you build a list of people it is okay to email? If somebody e-mails me and I don't know who they are, I will keep their email address and put it into my contacts, so because I was emailed by that person, I can now e-mail them! Most of the spam get I have to un-subscribe if I am not interested, as it is coming from that person's autoresponder, not from their actual contact email.

I have an "all tools in one place" program which is still rolling out yet more tools for us to use and they are trying to activate all tools by the end of October 2013. That's only two weeks! Right now I have a Facebook marketing tool, my own welcome letter and my own webcast video that I can use to market, whatever I am promoting at the time! I am always looking tor new team leaders to bring their teams on board with me, and in general for anybody who wants to promote their product or service online. Newbies are welcome as we also offer complete training on all aspects of marketing and how to do it! Please check it out below:

Getting the Most From Advertising

Aloha and Happy New Year!

It has been a month since I have blogged. I am so sorry! My computer got sick and had to go home to get fixed under warranty and now it is back and I am back online.
--> Making money from home is so much better than punching a time clock! I miss my online time, because I truly love to write and my blog enables me to earn money from home doing something I love.

Make sure if you are starting out online that you educate yourself on advertising and how it works. There are so many ways that you can advertise online. If you are anything like me, I like to just jump in and start. I am not good at reading tutorials, blogs, start here. This puts me at a great disadvantage for advertising because I would be making much more income online if I took the time to actually read how each different type of advertising works!

One of the most common methods of advertising is PPC. PPC is paid per to click. Usually you pay from one cent to nine cents to encourage somebody to click on your ad and go to your website. That is very low end cost for advertising. You can of course, pay more out for pay per click. It really depends on your advertising budget.

If you are working a full time job and are working online part time, it is especially important that you maximize your online time with a plan. What is the first thing you do when you boot up your computer? Email right? Social networking? That does eat up a lot of time and before you know it you still need to place your advertising! How about using a service that submits to all your social sites for you, so you only have to place your link one time? This is a real time saver and actually populates the Internet with your links to your site and your products!OnlyWire
Check it out and let me know what you think. There are a lot of social networking sites now, but some people are offended if all you do is post your links, you want your online brand to be good, honest and trustworthy. You do not want to become known as a spammer! However, this is a great way to post your ad to many sites with a click of your mouse!

There are many free online advertising sites. Some you need to register an account with, really I have found with most. If you place 3-5 ads a day, every day at different sites your site will start to get seen. This is just repeating the same work on a daily basis, which is just a commitment on your part to be successful with your online product or your affiliate program.

Don't give up! Earning from home is possible and more and more people are turning to the Internet as a way to earn extra money or to obtain the lifestyle they dream of. Never lose site of your dreams! You CAN do it!

Be Recession Proof by Working From Home!

Aloha and Happy Holidays,

I come from the Mainland, where it would actually be cold enough to have snow on the mountain, and even on the beach back in 1976! No, I will not tell you my age! We would go to the mountains and cut our own tree. It was so much fun! Here, Island Style, it is Mele Kelikimaka and Santa is on a surfboard! Over the years I have lived here I have gotten used to it and it actually does feel Christmasy with 75 degree weather. The trees have to be shipped in and one year a week before Christmas, they ran out of trees, and those who had them left were charging up to $150 per tree! That was about 5 years ago, so that may be normal now, as far as pricing goes!

The economy and having money to spend at this season leaves a lot to be desired. You can no longer count on showing up to work everyday on time and do a good job for job security. As you know, many Companies that were always American icons, have closed down. People don't have jobs. The Unemployment rate is up and that is a known fact as many of the unemployed ran out of unemployment and are now on Welfare. There is no middle class. I don't understand what middle class is! You either have or you are struggling financially. -->

More and more Americans are turning to the Internet to make an Income, either part time or full time from home. For that extra $500 per month to supplement your income to full time workers who have more than one income stream. If one stream dries up, you still have income streams that are making money for you.

What are you good at? Can you write? Can you type? Can you copy and paste? What do you enjoy doing? Maybe you have an existing business offline that you would like to bring online to create more exposure and more income! The possibilities of making money from home are limitless!

What are the advantages of earning extra income from home? You are your own boss. You set your hours. Many Moms that stay at home are turning to the Internet to make extra cash and be home with the children. When you are researching what you what to do online, check for online scams. Simply enter into Google Search Box "online scams." Also check with the Better Business Bureau. Do you know anybody that is making a decent living working from home online? Ask for some body's advice that is already doing it and succeeding. Don't get into anything you can not afford. Just as an offline business, an online business, needs a budget. You need to advertise. You can do this for free, but it will definitely take you longer. If you can buy in at a higher level to an affiliate program that you know is not  a get rich quick scheme, that would be much faster than free!

It is do able to earn from home and to actually reach the lifestyle that you want for yourself and for your family. Have the mindset of a millionaire and get to work! The most important thing is, don't give up after six months and you are not making six figures yet! As in all things in life worth while, it takes time, and learning from your mistakes!

Feel free to contact me if you would like some help in getting started!

The Graveyard

Wow! Time flys when you are having fun.....I am working a 12 hour graveyard shift here at the E.R. and we had one blast of business and so far, and it is now 2:20 am, so good. Nothing too bad for any of our patients! It is just so weird because I am used to getting up at 4:30 am in the morning and now I will be going home to sleep at 6:00 am. I am grateful for the hours, the money is better at night and leaves me the days to work my home biz, Alohaladycards.

Last time I wrote alot about my animals and their care. This time I would like to talk about marketing. You would think after 8 years I would be rich already, right? Don't I get my downline built for free, get to join for free and do no work, no phone calls, no advertising? Aren't you going to do it for me?

Come on! Were we born with SUCKER tattooed on our fore heads? If it sounds too good to be true it is! Don't waste your time or your hard earned cash. YOU can succeed, no I am not rich yet, but I believe and envision myself at the end of this year, sitting in my hot tub on the back deck of our home. I have a plan to succeed and a vision of what that success will bring me! If you are new to marketing, please don't "program hop!" That's when if you don't make $5000 per week in your first month you move on to the next program. You also have to keep in mind, you need a product, something that people need and use. That product could be education. Many online opportunities offer education for newcomers. I personally like Empowerism where I have been a member since 2004. I still learn new things there. You can make some good money, but to be honest, it is hard to recruit for this program. That is because nobody wants to work, they want the quick fix, the instant money! But it is a good solid program that is celebrating 10 years last month! Congratulations to Janet Wilson and the Empowerism team, and us, the members!

It also doesn't take a rocket scientist to make money from cards. The greeting card industry is a billion dollar a year industry! Why go to the store look through tons of cards to find the right one, and you are probably, like me, looking for a belated card, having just remembered a special event or occassion for somebody you love! Now, quick, write that message, address it, hope you have stamps, put one on, and get it to the Post Office to mail. Usually this is done after work.

Or, you can receive an email notification 10 days prior to any special occassion or event, go to your site, choose from over 8000 online, high quality, real greeting cards, not e-cards, type out your message in your own handwriting, make your own card with your own pictures or pick one of the company's, you can just put a snapshot your loved one will enjoy on the inside of the card and click the SEND button. Done, pau, all over! Our company will cut the card, put it in an envelope, address it for you and put on the postage, then mail it! How cool is that? You can go to my site and just click on Send A Card button in the middle of my banner at the top of the page. Yes, I know, I have a wonderful tan from living here in paradise! There is an audio tape that will show you exactly how to use the system! I am going to receive a notification that you just opened a gift account, because I a going to pay for your first two cards, and I can then call you and answer your questions or do a gift account walk through, if you don't want to use the audio guide.

Three a.m. now and I need to get up and move around before my head hits the desk! One more thing about marketing, is, whatever opps you belong too, or traffic exchange or any site where you have built a downline, these people are your contacts, prospects and business partners! It is always a good idea to keep a word pad document with names and addresses all your contacts. Keep in touch and build a relationship with these people. You may leave the opportunity or business but you don't have to leave behind your contacts! Keep in touch, keep in touch, keep in touch!

Okay that's it, enough already.

Alohalady's Products & Services & Opinions!

Aloha from sunny Waianae, Oahu in Hawaii!

This is my second blog, my first one got rejected because I didn't post enough times! So here we go again and let's see if I can get it right this time.

I work alot at my computer to make a home business. I am very lucky, as of right now, I have some time to do it. Last year was the worst year of my life and I didn't get too much time online, and I didn't feel like going online.

I am a big fan of Criminal Intent. I just logged on to http://www.usanetwork.com/ci and joined a forum there just for fun. Being on my computer has to be fun, not all work, but I am multi tasking right now and surfing I Love Hits while I write this blog! I use the traffic exchanges alot to drive traffic to my sites. I make money from them also.

My whole online journey started when I started to rescue stray dogs and cats. Now, since I got attached to them all, and don't have children, I ended up with 6 cats and 3 dogs. I used to call my "charity" Animal Rescue on Oahu, but recently found out that name is taken, so I am now Animal Rescue in Waianae. I use the money I make online to pay for their care, flea meds, vet visits, shots, alot of cat litter! LOL! We bought a home here in 2005 and I am going to make an outside deck that is enclosed by security screen so that the new animals I rescue, I won't get so attached to and can adopt them out. I will build dog kennels in the back yard. All of my kitties are indoor cats as recommended by the ASPCA. Alot of good info there for all of you pet owners as well as a community you can join and share with other pet owners.

Any online community is the best place to network with people and get to know people, because you are selling you, not your product! This is key to understanding in Network marketing! There are alot of scams out there, don't be taken in! It takes work to make money, you cannot just sit back and collect. Make sure there is a contact address and phone number for any business that you are planning on joining!

You can find a whole portfolio of recomended and tried business at Ultimate Rep. I have my site at http://www.catsndogs.ws/ and my main home business that is also a service for all you small business owners at http://www.alohaladycards.com

Here is a snap of one of my cats at the end of his hard day! This is Bo, we were given him when he was a young adult, the people who owned him couldn't keep him, as they were moving! Does he look like a pampered pet?

The Day After Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas we had this year! We had some friend over and had some frustration in hooking up our new DVD player to watch "Pirates of the Carribean at World's End." Still haven't seen the movie, spent the whole time talking! We got a special Edition DVD that has deleted scenes, bloopers and a second Disc. Now when our friends leave today, I will have to bring the DVD Player up to our bedroom and set it up all over again. Should be able to do it! I am slightly technically challenged!

I got a great little digital camers from Kodak. It takes photos as well as video's. Only thing is, they didn't provide me with a media card! Is that stupid or what? So still using the old Canon digital I caputured whole holiday and now I can make a slide show out of it. I loaded up some tunes on my husbands MP3 player that he bought months ago and could figure out! All we had to do was drop and drag the song to the device, it was so easy it made me laugh how long we waited before adding any music for it.It is back to work for him today at the boatyard, and me, I have the State of Hawaii Unemployment office stating they need to see me today at 10 am with paystubs because there are none on their records. They don't have my employer listed right!

Tomorrow I will start work at WCCHC as a call in filling in for the receptionist that is out for surgery. WCCHC is one of the countries best publicly owned non profit heatlh center in the US! Maybe you will learn a few words in Hawaiian at the site. The view there is stunning, we sit on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean from here to Japan.

Still have New Years to get through! Fireworks are really big here and they set them off right in the neighborhood. Lat year one of my kitties got asthma from all the smoke! I gotta give my dogs "doggie downers" to keep them from getting too hyped up especially, my firstborn, Bob! Here is a link to pet care, cats and dogs.

Gotta go! Gotta put in some resumes online. Part of unemployment here is looking for work at least 3 places every week.

Go to Bizpreneur and join up with an awesome online forum. We are all there to market our products and make new contacts and friends. I think this is the best way to find prospects for my Send Out Cards business and WMS. Check out the deals at Ebay, too! We all know how the day after Christmas is a big shopping day with all the stores marking everything down to the bottom line.Above is a photo of the tri colored Gold Ring my husband got me for XMAS, it is a turtle, Honu and my amakua, guardian angel. Learn more about amakua and Hawaiian traditions and legends!

Make your day a good one!

Christmas is here!

Aloha and Christmas is coming in sunny and cool at night here in the Islands. I still have to decorate our tree, only the lights are up so far. Here is a pic of me and my hubby in front of the tree so now you all know how we look. (don't hold it against us!)

I have had a Safelist for years, and suddenly one day all my admins went out at once, I mean they were reallly outdated! I lost a lot of members on that one. 2007 was not a good year for me and family problems, job changes and hours, kept me offline, but I am back now and working my home businesses. I just went into my list and cleaned it up, sent out an admin to everyone, telling them to enable their accounts for their free pro upgrades. Free Pro sends once a day, paid pro gets a second daily autosend of their saved ad. It is called Dreamslist, as we all have our dreams and hopes, yeah? Join and activate your account and I will give you a free pro upgrade.

But even better than Safelists these days are the online forums. There are just so many of them! It is a great place to meet people, network and see how you can help each other out. Everyone probably already has a MySpace, but do you know about Bizpreneur or Ojeez? Ryze has been around for awhile and was probably one of the first such forums.

Sunday night and I can't think of a single program I want to watch! Whatever happened to Law and Order the original? Oh, yeah, Cold Case and Shark, I think I already missed Cold Case! My favorite Law and Order Criminal Intent is now on USA network and is just great. I am a big fan of Vincent Di'Nofrio, who played the bug in Men In Black. Remember?

I just wanted to check in for a quick post, gotta go decorate that tree, and hopefully, program my husband MP3 player, as a surprise for him for Christmas. After the Holidays are all over and we are all back to business go create a guest account for your self at Send Out Cards. This is a win/win and also you might want to look into getting your part of the Fortune 500 companies money by advertising for them. Neither business is MLM and if you want to work from home, you can really cash in on either one of these.

Have a great Holiday and spend it with the ones you love, four legged or two!

Later,

Linda

Happy Holidays!

Aloha!

Happy Holidays to everybody!

Still on going to the online forums...I have been offline for quite a while, my Mom and Dad both passed away this year, Mom in January and Dad in October. It has been a very difficult time. My brother and I are in the process of selling the home, which Dad threw into a reverse mortgage, so the loan is now due and payable and we cannot afford to keep the home in the family. Our home here in Hawaii is our family home now.

Christmas in Hawaii. 80 degrees cool, sunny and Holiday lights up everywhere. The first year we lived here, 1995, was a record breaking heat wave year with Holiday temps up into the 90's! I swear I was going to kill my husband for bringing me here. After 12 years I have acclimated and I think my blood thinned out, so I can actually tell the changing of the Seasons. Did you know the full moon will be on Christmas Eve? Right on! The tree is downstairs soaking in water and smells just wonderful.

My "real" job laid me off last week Thursday. No severance pay, nothing. Downsizing I was told. Well, I choose to look at this in a positive light. I can now spend some time building my online business at Send Out Cards. It is not too late to still mail out you Holiday Greetings! With Send Out Cards mailing out multiple times daily to make sure your cards get there on time.

For all of you animal lovers, like me, I just sent away for a free sample of cat food and ran across a great link about cats and their behavior. As you know I have rescued 6 of them as well as 3 dogs, so we have a full house. I will take all the free samples I can get! Click here for information on your cat and behaviors, I have learned alot about them just by having six of them! Scampers is my alpha female and she really doesn't want anything to do with the rest of the pride. She thinks she is people, is 10 years old now, and still "scampering" about. Rusty, my alpha male, brought up all the younger kitties as we rescued them, "nursing" them from his front leg! Now my two younger males, Bo and Mikki, even though all my animals are spayed or neutered have a nasty little habit of pissing on the walls, marking their turf, or on any rug I have down in the home. Anybody can shed some light on that one for me? Email to: lsorens@gmail.com with "Cat Behavior" in the subject box so I don't delete you!

What are your favorite shows on T.V.? Mine is Law and Order, especially Criminal Intent, more specifically, Vincent Di'Nofrio's character. It moved to USA Network new and we record it so we don't miss it every week. Vincent Di'Nofrio and Katherine Erbe's charactors are just great! Chris Noth has recently joined the cast also, he has been in Law and Order since it's inception and is really a good actor as well. Can anybody tell me what happened to the original Law and Order? I know Sam Waterson is now D.A. but I can't seem to find the show anywhere.

Got any last minute shopping to do? Or anytime you need to shop, we all know about e-bay. I recently got involved in it, working as an affiliate. It is a Fortune 500 company now, did you know that? Go here to shop, and go here to find out how you can profit. This business has a low start up cost and is not MLM, no phone calls, no selling, just advertise for these Fortune 500 companies and their staff does all the calling and selling. They are good, believe me, I got in! After almost 8 years now online, I am not an easy sell, either. Plus, I can advertise my Send Out Cards business on my site, which the company sets up for me.

Still at the online forums meeting new contacts and networking. I think the Internet has changed so much in the last 8 years. I remember when you could actually email people and the email would get to them. The spam filters are so high now that it is near impossible to market that way, although I still use Group Mail. It is effective and quick. You can even get a free version, but you have to limit your groups to 100 contacts at a time.

My online handle is Alohalady! I have "branded" myself which also helps you when you are trying to earn from home and get out of the "rat race!" Every morning I watch the local news and traffic and Thank God I am not in it anymore.

Check some of my earlier posts for links to the online forums or email to lsorens@gmail.com with "Online Forums" in the subject box. I can then "whitelist" you and you won't get deleted. I am merciless with that delete key!

I look forward to any replies to this post

Cats and Dogs!

Aloha from Animal Rescue on Oahu!

I started on the Internet about 8 years ago as my family of cats and dogs grew. These animals were rescues and somehow my husband and I just got so attached to them that they never did get adopted out! I needed extra money to feed, take them to the vet, spay or neuter, medications and pet supplies. I have learned how to earn from home and help to defer the costs of my pets.

In June 2005 we purchased our first home here in Hawaii, so now I can really get into the animal rescue as I can build kennels and enclosed areas for my cats. All of my cats are indoor animals, you can read more about that at the official ASPCA site. You create a "cat friendly" environment in your home, much as you would creat a "child friendly" home if you had a baby!
I have learned much from my pride of cats! The first few that were brought up with my husband and I are much friendlier with people than the later kitties that came to us and were basically brought up by my alpha male, Rusty. He would hold out his front leg and let the babies "nurse" from there. I always thought that my alpha female would be the one to do this! She is totally human oriented as the original rescue from the boatyard my husband was working at when we brought her home. Cats are territorial and all have a position in the pride. One of my later males, Bo, was given to me as an older cat and at first would not come out of the bedroom.
He slowly made his way to the main living areas of the home and now is competing with Scampers, my alpha female, for the head cat position. They chase each other around a-lot! Rusty and Bo have reached an agreement as they sniff noses all the time. Cats communicate with each other on many levels. This was proved to me at one home we rented where I fed approximantely 9 feral cats for 3 years. These cats knew how to get around the American Pitt Bull Terrier, Kala, that hates cats and get into our back patio, where my other two dogs, Bob and Nohea, are "cat friendly." I think every cat in that neighborhood was told about the free food and basic medical attention I would give them as more and more showed up! Another great site for cats is My Paw Points. I save the coupon that comes with the cat litter and add up points until I have enough to purchase an item or get some free cat litter. The site also has much information on cat care and cats in general.

Next time I blog I will talk more about dogs and some of our experiences with ours! I would love to hear your stories about your pets!
