The Graveyard

Wow! Time flys when you are having fun.....I am working a 12 hour graveyard shift here at the E.R. and we had one blast of business and so far, and it is now 2:20 am, so good. Nothing too bad for any of our patients! It is just so weird because I am used to getting up at 4:30 am in the morning and now I will be going home to sleep at 6:00 am. I am grateful for the hours, the money is better at night and leaves me the days to work my home biz, Alohaladycards.

Last time I wrote alot about my animals and their care. This time I would like to talk about marketing. You would think after 8 years I would be rich already, right? Don't I get my downline built for free, get to join for free and do no work, no phone calls, no advertising? Aren't you going to do it for me?

Come on! Were we born with SUCKER tattooed on our fore heads? If it sounds too good to be true it is! Don't waste your time or your hard earned cash. YOU can succeed, no I am not rich yet, but I believe and envision myself at the end of this year, sitting in my hot tub on the back deck of our home. I have a plan to succeed and a vision of what that success will bring me! If you are new to marketing, please don't "program hop!" That's when if you don't make $5000 per week in your first month you move on to the next program. You also have to keep in mind, you need a product, something that people need and use. That product could be education. Many online opportunities offer education for newcomers. I personally like Empowerism where I have been a member since 2004. I still learn new things there. You can make some good money, but to be honest, it is hard to recruit for this program. That is because nobody wants to work, they want the quick fix, the instant money! But it is a good solid program that is celebrating 10 years last month! Congratulations to Janet Wilson and the Empowerism team, and us, the members!

It also doesn't take a rocket scientist to make money from cards. The greeting card industry is a billion dollar a year industry! Why go to the store look through tons of cards to find the right one, and you are probably, like me, looking for a belated card, having just remembered a special event or occassion for somebody you love! Now, quick, write that message, address it, hope you have stamps, put one on, and get it to the Post Office to mail. Usually this is done after work.

Or, you can receive an email notification 10 days prior to any special occassion or event, go to your site, choose from over 8000 online, high quality, real greeting cards, not e-cards, type out your message in your own handwriting, make your own card with your own pictures or pick one of the company's, you can just put a snapshot your loved one will enjoy on the inside of the card and click the SEND button. Done, pau, all over! Our company will cut the card, put it in an envelope, address it for you and put on the postage, then mail it! How cool is that? You can go to my site and just click on Send A Card button in the middle of my banner at the top of the page. Yes, I know, I have a wonderful tan from living here in paradise! There is an audio tape that will show you exactly how to use the system! I am going to receive a notification that you just opened a gift account, because I a going to pay for your first two cards, and I can then call you and answer your questions or do a gift account walk through, if you don't want to use the audio guide.

Three a.m. now and I need to get up and move around before my head hits the desk! One more thing about marketing, is, whatever opps you belong too, or traffic exchange or any site where you have built a downline, these people are your contacts, prospects and business partners! It is always a good idea to keep a word pad document with names and addresses all your contacts. Keep in touch and build a relationship with these people. You may leave the opportunity or business but you don't have to leave behind your contacts! Keep in touch, keep in touch, keep in touch!

Okay that's it, enough already.

Attention Animal Lovers! Cats, cats, cats.....

Alohalady here again...today I was just at My PawPoints Site. I redeem the points from the cat litter I purchase, which is Freshstep, mostly scoopable. Having a "pride" of 6 indoor cats, I am always interested to learn about their behavior. I found some interesting things at this link today about cat behavior.

Most of what I read goes for my cats, of which I have 6 and they are all indoor kitties. My eldest is a female and feels she is a human and above other cats! What was interesting to me is the site stated paternal care of offspring is rare, that the female cats of the group will nourish and care for the kittens. Well, my alpha male, Rusty, took in 3 small kittens about 3 weeks old, that popped out from under the home next door to us, when the mother cat hadn't returned. Of course, I couldn't let these poor little kitties die, so we took them in, and the funniest thing was, Rusty! He would lie on his side, put his front leg out and the 3 little ones would "nurse" from his leg! Scampers, my first and alpha female, had nothing to do with these cats. It is true that cats from the same family of lineage get along better, to this day Rusty washes Tiki and Tar, the two we kept out of the 3 rescues. The third kitty, Gilly, was ok being an outside cat with his father and his uncle. When we moved after 3 years of living in their turf, feeding them and caring for their wounds, I was forced to leave them behind when we had to move. I tried to take them with me, but the minute I put them in the transportation kennel, they fought like hell to get out! So I left them on their "turf." Now, today, Gilly has made it up to my workplace, where he fathered many cats before we could catch him and get him neutered. I was so happy to see this cat! After having to leave him behind, he found me! All of these "feral" cats I fed and cared for were wise outside feral cats, but they knew me, I fed them and fixed their wounds, so I could pick them up, pet them and they were just as tame as the housecats. But nobody else could get near them, even my husband sometimes couldn't pet them.

After reading this article, I now know why my males that aren't related are always having "hissy fits" as I call them! Fight with each other over a spot to lie, a room to be in or who can lie on the bed!

Use the Fresh Step Litter! My house does not smell like a litter box! The litter has great odor control and I keep the cat boxes clean. The scoopable clumping is my favorite, but we also get the clay sometimes, the store will be out of my favorite. Each cat should have his own litter box, ever notice that when you clean out their boxes, the first thing that happens is one jumps in and uses it, marking their territory! I have 3 not 6. 6 boxes is alot of cat litter and cleaning daily!

Cats are awesome! They are wierd and funny and smart. We got some cat nip for them recently and they really went nuts! I caught some pics, I will see if I can show you some. Since our pets is what got me started marketing, instead of adopting them out, I needed more money to care for them, I like to write about what I have learned from my animals. They can teach you plenty!

The ASPCA has great resources and info also. You can get a free pet safety pak from them at this link.

Thank you to all of you out there that are helping to care for animals. It is so sad to see neglected, abused animals and the lack of caring that people treat them as if they were disposable merchandise. I am a bit over the edge about this, but if somebody tells me I can't have animals I wouldn't move into that home. If somebody told you that no children were allowed, would you give away your children or take them to the nearest shelter? LOL! I told you I am a bit "off" on this subject! But they are my children, my fur babies!

Talk to you later!

Welcome to the Wonderful World Of Internet Advertising!

Welcome to the wonderful world of internet marketing and advertising! If you are new or experienced, Alohalady Products and Services has some advertising sites for you. Some are free, some are not! Remember, your business is a business, you must have an advertising budget! Tracking your ads is very effective, to find out what is working and what is not! Right now I am not tracking my ads, I had to budget down on my internet expense and focus. What I mean by focus, is choose a business that is a good fit for you, and then focus in on it. Many safelists, programs and sites have ad tracking, however, what if the server is down? Then nobody see's your ad!

I am a member of Ultimate Rep, which offers many business opportunities and is free to join, though not all of it's programs are. Included there are many advertising sites, including traffic exchanges, Ads of Gold, viral classifieds, Adverts, Free Traffic Bar and Safelists. This is just a small sample of the advertising available on the 'net. A word about safelists, get an email box that you use just for safelists! You will receive alot of email, the agreement to the Safelist is that you will accept all other members postings! All in all, Mad Vlad, is the Number One Safelist as far as I am concerned, but you can google top ten safelists and find out for yourself. Having your own contact list is the best advertising as well as online forums.

Spamming is rude and you will lose membership from any of these sites for doing so! Before I email my list, I ask if they want to receive my mail, and always give an opt out statement at the bottom of your email. Treat your contacts as you would want to be treated. Build a relationship with them, basically, you are selling yourself, not the product. If somebody knows and trusts you, your chances of conversion increase dramatically.

I have built my list over the last 8 years from all the different businesses I have gone through until I have finally learned enough not to join every new thing that comes along, also known as "program hopping." Your downline and your upline are all people you should have in your mailing or contact list. You always hear it's in the list, and this is true, to an extent, but it is a numbers game. You need massive traffic driven to your site! The more visitors the more conversion rate you will see for your product or service! My main business is Alohaladycards, which is offline/online and it is FUN!

Alohalady's Products & Services & Opinions!

Aloha from sunny Waianae, Oahu in Hawaii!

This is my second blog, my first one got rejected because I didn't post enough times! So here we go again and let's see if I can get it right this time.

I work alot at my computer to make a home business. I am very lucky, as of right now, I have some time to do it. Last year was the worst year of my life and I didn't get too much time online, and I didn't feel like going online.

I am a big fan of Criminal Intent. I just logged on to http://www.usanetwork.com/ci and joined a forum there just for fun. Being on my computer has to be fun, not all work, but I am multi tasking right now and surfing I Love Hits while I write this blog! I use the traffic exchanges alot to drive traffic to my sites. I make money from them also.

My whole online journey started when I started to rescue stray dogs and cats. Now, since I got attached to them all, and don't have children, I ended up with 6 cats and 3 dogs. I used to call my "charity" Animal Rescue on Oahu, but recently found out that name is taken, so I am now Animal Rescue in Waianae. I use the money I make online to pay for their care, flea meds, vet visits, shots, alot of cat litter! LOL! We bought a home here in 2005 and I am going to make an outside deck that is enclosed by security screen so that the new animals I rescue, I won't get so attached to and can adopt them out. I will build dog kennels in the back yard. All of my kitties are indoor cats as recommended by the ASPCA. Alot of good info there for all of you pet owners as well as a community you can join and share with other pet owners.

Any online community is the best place to network with people and get to know people, because you are selling you, not your product! This is key to understanding in Network marketing! There are alot of scams out there, don't be taken in! It takes work to make money, you cannot just sit back and collect. Make sure there is a contact address and phone number for any business that you are planning on joining!

You can find a whole portfolio of recomended and tried business at Ultimate Rep. I have my site at http://www.catsndogs.ws/ and my main home business that is also a service for all you small business owners at http://www.alohaladycards.com

Here is a snap of one of my cats at the end of his hard day! This is Bo, we were given him when he was a young adult, the people who owned him couldn't keep him, as they were moving! Does he look like a pampered pet?
